Free concrete driveway quotes across Northeast OhioHomeowners never pay for the match · How it works
Four simple steps

How LocalConcreteDriveway Works

You tell us about your driveway or flatwork project, we pass it to independent local concrete contractors who serve your area, and they reach out to set up a visit and give you a quote. The match is free for homeowners, and you never have to hire anyone.

What happens when I request a concrete driveway quote?

The process is short on purpose. You spend a few minutes describing the job, and the contractors do the measuring, pricing and explaining. Here is the order things happen in.

Nothing about the request locks you in. If the quotes come back higher than you expected, or you decide to wait a season, you simply say no thanks and that is the end of it.

  • Step 1: Describe your project using the quote form. Tell us what you want done, roughly how big the area is, your city, and when you hope to start.
  • Step 2: We match your request with available local contractors who handle that kind of work in your part of Northeast Ohio.
  • Step 3: The contractors contact you directly to look at the site, take measurements, and put together a written quote.
  • Step 4: You compare what you receive and choose the pro you like best, or decline every quote. The decision is entirely yours.

Why does a contractor need to see my driveway before quoting?

Concrete pricing depends on things a form cannot show: how much old material has to come out, how soft the clay underneath is, how far the slope drops toward the garage, and whether a truck can reach the pour. A walk-through lets the contractor see all of that and price it honestly.

A site visit also gives you a chance to size up the person you might hire. Pay attention to whether they talk about base depth, slab thickness, drainage and joint layout, or whether they just give you a number and leave.

Published cost guides list typical ranges, but your real price comes from that visit. Two driveways with the same dimensions on the same street can quote very differently once the ground and access are taken into account.

Is LocalConcreteDriveway really free for homeowners?

Yes. Homeowners never pay us anything, not for the request, not for the match, and not if you hire someone. Contractors pay us to receive project requests, which is how the service stays free on your side.

Because the contractors are independent businesses, they set their own prices, schedules, warranties and payment terms. Any contract you sign is between you and the contractor you pick, so read it carefully before you agree to a start date or hand over a deposit.

Who sees my contact details and project information?

We share your details only with contractors relevant to your project, meaning pros who do the type of work you described and serve the area where the job is. We do not post your request publicly or hand your information to unrelated businesses.

You can expect calls, texts or emails from the matched contractors about your project. If you change your mind or finish the job, tell the contractor you are no longer interested, and let us know if you want your request closed.

How do you choose which contractors to match me with?

We look at the kind of work you need and where you live, then send the request to contractors who handle that work in your county. A stamped patio in Medina and a tear-out and replacement on a Lakewood driveway may go to different pros, because not every company does both.

[CONFIRM VETTING PROCESS]

We are not a licensing body and we do not guarantee any contractor's work. You should still ask each pro for their insurance certificate, confirm any city registration, and check recent reviews on your own before you sign.

What should I do once the quotes come in?

Lay the quotes side by side and check that they describe the same job. Look for slab thickness, base material and depth, reinforcement, the finish, how old concrete is removed and hauled away, and who pulls any permit needed for an apron or work near the street.

Ask how long the contractor wants you to stay off the new concrete and what they recommend for the first winter. A good pro will tell you to skip deicers that season and explain when to seal.

If one price is far below the others, find out what was left out. Thin slabs, skimpy base and missing joints are the usual places a low bid saves money, and they are the things that show up as cracks a few winters later.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

How long does the request form take?

Most people finish it in a few minutes. You only need the basics: the type of project, the rough size, your city and how to reach you. Contractors will gather the exact measurements when they visit.

Do I have to hire one of the contractors?

No. Requesting quotes creates no obligation of any kind. You can hire one of the pros, keep shopping, or drop the project altogether without owing anyone anything.

How do you make money if the service is free?

Contractors pay us to receive project requests from homeowners in their area. You are never charged, and that does not change if you go on to hire someone.

Will I get calls from a lot of companies?

Your details go only to contractors relevant to your job and location. How many reach out depends on who is available in your area for that kind of work at the time you ask.

Can I upload photos of my driveway?

Photos help a lot when the form allows them or when a contractor asks. A few wide shots and close-ups of cracks or sunken sections let pros judge the job before they come out.

Who is responsible for the work once I hire someone?

The contractor you choose is. They are an independent business that sets its own terms, warranty and schedule, and your agreement is with them directly rather than with us.

Can I use the service for a patio or walkway, not just a driveway?

Yes. Requests for patios, sidewalks, garage floor slabs, aprons and repairs are all welcome. Describe the work clearly so it reaches contractors who handle that type of flatwork.

Do you cover my town?

We serve homeowners in Cuyahoga, Lorain, Medina, Summit, Lake, Geauga and Portage counties. If your address is in one of those counties, go ahead and send a request.

Ready to price your driveway?

One short form. Local contractors who serve your town follow up to see the job and quote. Free, no obligation.
