About LocalConcreteDriveway
LocalConcreteDriveway is a free matching service for homeowners in Northeast Ohio who need a concrete driveway, patio, walkway or repair. We are not a concrete company. We connect you with independent local contractors who come out, look at the job and quote it.
Why does a concrete matching service for Northeast Ohio exist?
Finding a concrete contractor here can be oddly hard. The good ones are booked solid from spring into fall, many do not advertise much, and plenty of homeowners spend weeks leaving voicemails that never get returned.
Concrete in this region also has to survive more than most. Repeated freeze-thaw cycles, lake-effect snow, heavy road salt and wet clay soils punish a slab that was poured thin or set on a weak base. Hiring someone who understands those conditions matters more here than in milder climates.
We built this site to shorten the search. You describe the project once, and it goes to contractors who actually do that work in your area.
Does LocalConcreteDriveway pour concrete?
No. We do not install, repair or warranty any concrete work. Every contractor you hear from through this site is a separate, independent business that sets its own prices, schedule, crew and terms.
That distinction matters when you hire. Your contract, deposit, warranty and any follow-up questions about the finished work are between you and the pro you choose. We want you to go in knowing that rather than finding out later.
How is the service paid for?
Contractors pay us to receive project requests from homeowners. Homeowners never pay us anything, whether they hire someone or not.
We think that arrangement is fair when it is stated openly. Contractors get requests from people who actually want work done, and homeowners get a free way to reach local pros without cold-calling a long list.
What do you check before matching a contractor?
[CONFIRM VETTING PROCESS]
We do not run background checks, issue licenses or guarantee anyone's work. Ohio has no statewide concrete contractor license, so the practical checks are insurance, city registration where your town requires it, and a track record you can see in reviews and past jobs.
We encourage every homeowner to ask for a certificate of insurance, confirm the contractor is registered with their city building department if required, and ask to see driveways they have poured nearby.
Which parts of Northeast Ohio do you serve?
We cover seven counties: Cuyahoga, Lorain, Medina, Summit, Lake, Geauga and Portage. That takes in older inner-ring suburbs with narrow drives and detached garages, newer subdivisions with wide attached-garage drives, and rural properties with long gravel lanes waiting to be paved.
Each area brings its own concerns. Lake and Geauga sit in the heart of the snow belt, much of Lorain and Medina has heavy clay, and older Cuyahoga neighborhoods often need tear-out of tired concrete before anything new goes in.
What can you expect from this website?
We also hope to make the hiring step less of a gamble. A homeowner who understands why base depth, slab thickness and drainage matter is far less likely to accept a bargain bid that cracks apart after three winters, and far more likely to recognize a contractor who is doing it right.
Beyond the quote form, we publish plain guides on cost, thickness, reinforcement, curing, sealing, salt damage and permits. They are written to help you ask better questions and read quotes with a sharper eye, not to replace a contractor's site visit.
Cost figures on this site come from published industry cost guides and are labeled as typical ranges. They are not our prices, because we do not set prices. Your real number comes from the contractor who sees your property.
- No fake reviews or made-up project counts
- No pressure to hire anyone
- Your details shared only with contractors relevant to your project
- Straight answers about what we are and are not
Frequently asked questions
Is LocalConcreteDriveway a contractor?
No. We are a matching service. The concrete work is quoted and performed by independent local contractors who run their own businesses.
Who owns the contractors' warranties?
Each contractor offers its own warranty, if any. Ask for the terms in writing before you sign, since we do not provide or back any warranty on the work.
Why should I trust a matching site?
You do not have to take our word for anything. Use the request to get in front of local pros, then check their insurance, registration and reviews yourself before hiring.
Do you have a showroom or office I can visit?
We operate online. The people you meet in person are the contractors who come to look at your project.
Are the cost numbers on your site what I will pay?
They are typical ranges from published cost guides, shown for planning. Actual quotes depend on your site, the amount of tear-out, the base needed and the finish you pick.
Do you only handle driveways?
Driveways are the focus, but requests for patios, sidewalks, aprons, garage slabs, leveling, sealing and resurfacing are welcome too.
Can a contractor pay to be recommended over others?
Contractors pay to receive project requests, which is how the service is funded. You still compare quotes and choose freely, and you are welcome to turn down every one.
How do I reach you about a problem with a match?
Email hello@localconcretedriveway.com and tell us what happened. We want to hear about contractors who do not show up or do not treat homeowners fairly.
Ready to price your driveway?
One short form. Local contractors who serve your town follow up to see the job and quote. Free, no obligation.
